WATCH – Bomb blast in Kabul Cricket Stadium during Afghanistan T20 tournament
An explosion went off inside Kabul’s main cricket stadium during a domestic league match on Friday, injuring four people, an official of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) said.
As panic broke out in the stadium following the explosion due to tensions among everyone within, people could be seen running for cover. The event happened at the Kabul International stadium during Pamir Zalmi and the Band-e-Amir Dragons’ 22nd league match of the Shpageeza Cricket League. The blast has confirmed by the Kabul Police headquarters, however no casualties have reported as of yet.
Since the Taliban seized control in August 2021, terror assaults have taken over the Afghan capital Kabul. And recently, ISIS fighters have assaulted a number of religious sites. Following another bombing last month when the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) assaulted the Gurudwara. That resulted in the deaths of numerous Sikhs and Taliban members. A bomb detonated beside the Karte Parwan Gurudwara in Kabul earlier this week.

“The match was going on between two teams in Shpageza League, and during the match a blast happened; four civilians in the crowd have injured,” the Chief Executive of ACB, Nassib Khan, said in a statement.
ACB staff and players were safe, he added.
