Ranji Trophy: Yash Dhull scores centuries in both innings on his First-class debut
In the ongoing Ranji Trophy match against Tamil Nadu, Delhi batsman Yash Dhull scored a century in the second innings.
Dhull had earlier scored a century in the ongoing match’s first innings. And now, on Day 4 of the ongoing Elite Group H match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, the right-handed hitter has added another century to his tally. Dhull, who was sent out to open the innings, reached the three-figure mark in the second innings off 200 balls with 13 boundaries. He is only the third Indian batsman in FC history to hit a century in both innings.
After scoring 113 runs in the first innings, the right-handed young Delhi hitter was removed.
Delhi, who were given the opportunity to bat first, scored 452 runs in the first innings. While Tamil Nadu scored 494, giving them a 42-run lead.
Dhull had previously guided India to a record sixth U19 World Cup victory. After the Indians defeated England in the final.
The Ranji Trophy will be split into two phases. With the pre-Indian Premier League (IPL) phase set to take place from February 10 to March 15. From May 30 through June 26, the post-IPL phase will take place. This season’s Ranji Trophy will include 64 matches spread over 62 days.
Eight Elite Groups and one Plate Group are available. The Elite Groups would consist of four teams, while the Plate Group would consist of six teams. Therefore, each Elite Group will have one team qualify for the quarterfinals.
The lowest-ranked of the eight qualified clubs will face the Plate Group’s top team in a pre-quarterfinal.
