Legends League Cricket: Cuttack to host three matches beginning September 26
Legends League Cricket announced on Monday that three matches will be played in Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
Irfan Pathan of the Bhilwara Kings and Harbhajan Singh of the Manipal Tigers will serve as their teams’ captains in the game on September 26. On September 27, Gujarat Giants and Bhilwara Kings will square off in the next game. India Capitals will then play Manipal Tigers on September 29. The four teams in this season’s Legend League Cricket controlled by the Adani Group, GMR Group, LNJ Bhilwara, and Manipal Group. The league played in a franchise model (MEMG).
More than 79 retired players are participating in the competition, including Monty Panesar, Chris Gayle, Jacques Kallis, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Muttiah Muralitharan, RP Singh, and Virender Sehwag.

The league would have 16 total matches spread across five cities: Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Cuttack, and Jodhpur.
Raman Raheja, Co-Founder & CEO of Legends League Cricket said: “We are thankful to Odisha Cricket Association for hosting Legends League Cricket matches at their ground in Cuttack. We have 79 legends playing in the league at five different locations. The league will be going to make a huge impact on the fans. And also we hope it will be breaking all previous records of similar leagues in the country.”
“The state Government is promoting sports like Kho-Kho and also hockey. With Legends League taking place here, the youth will definitely be taking more and more sports as their career,” he added.
The league kicks off on September 16 with a special match between the World Giants, led by Jacques Kallis. And also the Indian Maharajas, led by Virender Sehwag. The proceeds of the game will given to Khushii Foundation, which helps empower girl child through education.
