IPL 2022: Kolkata Knight Riders, the two-time Indian Premier League champions, will be one of the teams to watch in the 15th season of the cricket tournament, which starts on March 26. The runners-up in 2021 have a new captain in Shreyas Iyer, and with a group of good retained players and some hot buys in the February auction, the club will aim to repeat their title-winning seasons of 2012 and 2014.

KKR will play two games against each of Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Group A. (their counterpart from Group B). In the league phase of the tournament, they will face Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans once each from Group B.
On March 26, the Shahrukh Khan-owned franchise will face another high-profile team, the Chennai Super Kings, against whom they lost in the final last year. Kolkata Knight Riders will aim for a winning start in order to settle some scores.
