IPL 2022: Chennai Super Kings‘ star all-rounder Moeen Ali has received his India visa and will be available for selection from the second game of the upcoming IPL, the franchise’s CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed on Thursday.

Despite the fact that Moeen will arrive in Mumbai on Thursday. The defending champions will be without him for Saturday’s IPL-15 opener against Kolkata Knight Riders. Since he must undergo a three-day quarantine before joining the team.

“Moeen has got his visa and is landing in Mumbai in the afternoon. He will be available for the second game after completing a three-day quarantine,” Viswanathan told PTI.

The visa application took longer than expected because players of Pakistan descent must undergo a certain protocol.

On March 31, CSK will face Lucknow Super Giants in their second encounter.

Moeen Ali, along with inspirational skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ruturaj Gaikwad, was retained by CSK after a strong all-round performance that helped the franchise win its fourth IPL title.

Last year, Moeen scored 357 runs in 15 innings for CSK in the IPL, while also grabbing six wickets with his off-spin bowling in 15 games.
