IND vs WI: Virat Kohli to miss third T20I as he leaves bio-bubble
IND vs WI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given bio-bubble break to Virat Kohli in Kolkata, and as a result, the former India captain will miss the third and final T20I against the West Indies on Sunday.
“BCCI has given break to Virat Kohli from bio-bubble from the third T20, it’s just a normal break for him because of tiring schedule from a long time,” source told ANI.
Kohli scored 52 runs off 41 balls in the second T20I on Friday to help India win the series against the West Indies.
In January this year, Kohli stepped down as India’s Test captain after leading the team for seven years.
Kohli has become India’s most successful Test skipper in the country’s history. He has captained India in 68 Test matches since taking over from MS Dhoni, with 40 victories and a win percentage of 58.82.
In 2015, as Test captain, he led India to their first series victory in Sri Lanka, a success that had eluded them for 22 years.
Kohli also has an unblemished record as a captain, having won 24 of the 31 Tests he has led at home, with only two Tests lost.
