IND vs WI: Rishabh Pant leaves bio-bubble, to miss T20I series against Sri Lanka as well

IND vs WI: India wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant will miss the third T20I against the West Indies and the T20Is against Sri Lanka due to a bio-bubble break provided by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

“Rishabh Pant has also been given a break by BCCI ahead of the third T20 and from the T20I series against Sri Lanka,” source told ANI.

Meanwhile, former India skipper Virat Kohli will miss Sunday’s third and final T20I against the West Indies.

“BCCI has given break to Virat Kohli from bio-bubble from the third T20, it’s just a normal break for him because of tiring schedule from a long time,” the source had told ANI earlier in the day.

Kohli scored 52 runs off 41 balls in the second T20I on Friday to help India win the series against the West Indies.

In January this year, Kohli stepped down as India’s Test captain after leading the team for seven years.

Kohli has become India’s most successful Test skipper in the country’s history. He has captained India in 68 Test matches since taking over from MS Dhoni, with 40 victories and a win percentage of 58.82.

In 2015, as Test captain, he led India to their first series victory in Sri Lanka, a success that had eluded them for 22 years.

Kohli also has an unblemished record as a captain, having won 24 of the 31 Tests he has led at home, with only two Tests lost.
