IND vs SL: Axar Patel added to India’s squad for second Test
IND vs SL: The All-India Senior Selection Committee has added Axar Patel to India’s squad for the second Test to be played from 12-16th March in Bengaluru. The all-rounder has completed his rehab and has been cleared by the BCCI Medical Team.
After suffering a shin injury, the all-rounder was not included in the squad for the first Test, and he was also ruled out of the series against the West Indies. Also he had tested positive for COVID-19.
Kuldeep Yadav has released from the squad for the second Test.
However, India won the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali, Punjab on Sunday. Also now India take a 1-0 unaccessible lead in the two-match test series.
India won the first Test by an innings and 222 runs. Therefore with an all-round effort by Ravindra Jadeja (175 runs and 9 wickets) and R Ashwin (61 runs and 6 wickets).
Therefore, the second Test will take place on March 12 in Bengaluru, with both teams squaring off against one other.
