Col CK Nayudu Trophy, Senior Women’s T20 to take place between March-May
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has informed all state-affiliated entities that the postponed Col CK Nayudu Trophy and Senior Women’s T20 Trophy will be held between March and May 2022.
In a letter written by BCCI secretary Jay Shah, it is clearly mentioned how the board wants to resume both the tournaments. “As we completed Round 1 of Ranji Trophy 2021-22. It gives me immense pleasure to apprise you that Sr Women’s T20 Trophy and Col. CK Nayudu Trophy shall take place during the months of March-May, 2022. Also the BCCI will share the draw of the tournaments. And bio-safety protocols in due course,” Shah stated in his letter.
The board, on the other hand, has not provided any information on when the Cooch Behar Trophy knockouts will take place.
The Ranji Trophy started on February 17 this year, and after a successful Round 1. Therefore, the board has chosen to proceed with the Col CK Nayudu and Senior Women’s T20 tournaments.
The Col CK Nayudu Trophy was supposed to start in January. And the Women’s T20 tournament was supposed to start in February. However both tournaments were postponed because to the COVID-19 epidemic.
