Asia Cup 2022: Watch – Virat Kohli bowls for the first time in a T20I in six years
Asia Cup 2022: Watch – Former India captain Virat Kohli scored his first international half century in over six months on Wednesday. His 44-ball, unbeaten 59 against Hong Kong, which included one four and three sixes, would have done much to quiet some of his detractors and boost his confidence.
The sight of Virat bowling, though, is what truly took the internet by storm. To bowl the 17th over of the Hong Kong run chase, captain Rohit Sharma threw the ball in his direction. Hong Kong now had to score an unlikely 84 runs in 24 balls.

With the ball, India’s sixth bowler on the night performed a really good job. Allowing just 6 runs in the one over he bowled. Despite without getting a wicket, his economy rate of 6 wasn’t too bad given this was his first T20I bowling since 2016.
Virat has bowled a total of 793 deliveries in international cricket (641 in ODIs and 152 in T20Is). And he has claimed 4 wickets in eac format for a total of 8 international wickets to date. In ODIs, his economy rate is 6.22, and in T20Is, it is 8.05.
