Asia Cup 2022: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host the 15th edition of the Asia Cup from August 27 to September 11. It was originally scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka, but due to the nation’s severe economic difficulties, it was eventually transferred to the middle east. Six teams will compete in the competition, split into two groups of three teams each.

Group A includes India, Pakistan, and Qualifier while Group B includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. The top two teams from each group advance to the Super 4, which will be a round-robin tournament between the four teams. The top two teams from the stage will advance to the championship game.

The Super 4 will take place between September 3 and September 9, with the opening match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka taking place in Dubai. India is the reigning champion of the competition, which was also hosted in the UAE in 2018. After 2016, this will be the only other time the Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format. Sri Lanka has won the competition five times, Pakistan has won it twice, and India has won it seven times.
